Your membership is billed automatically using either ACH or credit/debit card. It can be billed monthly, quarterly (2.5% discount), semiannually (5% discount), or annually (10% discount). Credit/debit card fees will apply if a card is used.

No, we do not bill your insurance. We do work with a third party vendor to bill your insurance for vaccines.

Unfortunately, due to Kentucky law 907 KAR 3:005, we are unable to accept patients who have Medicaid as their primary or secondary insurance. If you or a loved one is covered by Medicaid, you can find information about healthcare providers who accept Medicaid patients on the Kentucky Department of Medicaid Services website: https://www.chfs.ky.gov/agencies/dms/member/Pages/default.aspx.

Starting in January 2026, a new provision in HR 1 allows DPC fees of up to $150 per month for individuals and $300 per month for families to be considered qualified medical expenses for HSA payments.

We currently offer hemoglobin, lead, lipid panel, and urinalysis lab testing in our office. We also have testing for strep, Flu, COVID, RSV, and pregnancy tests in our office. Our in-office labs and tests are billed at cost (almost always under $5). All other labs can be sent using Labcorp or Quest at a significantly reduced rate.

We have a basic supply of medications to treat ear infections, strep throat, and other common illnesses in children. We are not able to carry controlled medications. We can order routine medications for children if desired by our families.

Patients of LHP are expected to get their school required vaccinations, unless medically exempt. Vaccines such as COVID and flu are optional and parental preference. Refusal to follow these guideless will result in termination of membership.
